How to choose your excavator

Pick the working-end type for the job, then the handle for the feel. ErgoDenta excavators come in three working-end types plus a micro / endodontic range.

Round excavator
Circular edge that scoops soft caries cleanly — the everyday choice. Smaller tips (1.0–1.5 mm) near the pulp and for children, larger (2.5–3.0 mm) for bulk decay.
Spoon excavator
Classic spoon blade for gentle, tactile excavation, especially in deeper cavities close to the pulp.
Action excavator
Sharper hybrid edge for firmer dentine, set cement and tougher material.
Micro / Endo (31L · 32L · 33L)
Long, fine tips for the pulp chamber and apical micro-surgery where access is limited.
Handles: every excavator is offered in ErgoSteel (S / SP / SS), ErgoX (X / XP) and lightweight colour ErgoLite — identical tip, your choice of weight and grip.
