Frequently asked about Surgery
Periotomes, luxators, elevators — what is the order of use in atraumatic extraction?
Periotome first (severs PDL fibres), then luxator (widens socket), then elevator only if needed. Forceps last. The newer Bensonhurst-style periotomes from our Surgery range are designed for this protocol.
What scissor types do you stock?
Iris (sharp/sharp), Spencer (suture removal), Goldman-Fox (gum trimming), LaGrange (heavy gum), and tungsten-carbide variants of each.
Are your needle holders TC-tipped?
Yes — all our Mathieu, Mayo-Hegar, Castroviejo, and Crile-Wood needle holders are available with tungsten-carbide inserts (gold-handle marker).
Do you carry sinus lift instruments?
Yes — full sinus lift curette set (straight, mesial, distal, posterior), bone spreaders, osteotomes, and Summers-style elevators. See /instruments?cat=4151.
